Exclusive Interview: Teagan Presley

Before we get too into this, I’ve got to tell you something. Your voice tears me up! It’s hot! It’s hard to control myself.

Thank you!

Now that I’ve got my horny-ness out of the way, tell me a little about yourself. Where are you from?

I’m from Houston, Texas.

You’re 19 years old, right?

Yeah, I’m 19.

It’s not been that long ago for you…What were you like in high school?

I didn’t go to high school much. I was dancing mostly. I was a ballet and jazz dancer for most of my life. I would go to school from 630 to 1230 and then leave and go to dance all night. High school really wasn’t a thing for me. I didn’t want to waste my time with it! (laughs)

So you wanted to be a dancer, huh? What happened there?

I don’t have the heart for it. My parents wanted me to do it more than I did.

You’ve been in the porn biz for about eight months. Do your friends and family know about it and are they supportive of your career decision?

All my friends and family know about it and are supportive. My girl friends are all weirded out because they’re afraid to be seen with me. All of my guy friends are supportive. My family is supportive but…They know that I work and they ask me when I work but they don’t really ask for details. Now that I have a contract they ask more about it because it’s not a lot of the really hardcore rough stuff that I was doing.

How did this all come together for you? Did you pursue it or did someone convince you to do it?

I pursued it. I found an agent online.

How did that turn out? Was it what you expected?

It was a rough beginning. I was commuting from San Diego to LA to do polaroids for companies. I didn’t want my parents to know that I was driving all the way up to LA. It was crazy.

If you’re originally from Texas, when did you get exposed to California?

Probably when I was nine. I’ve lived all around. I lived in Montana, Michigan, Illinois, and all around California.

I’ve noticed that the people involved in the adult industry are very friendly and helpful, moreso than a lot of relationships I’ve made in the music biz. How have you been treated since you started?

I try and be on my best behavior. I haven’t really had any bad instances because I haven’t really given anybody a reason to be mean to me or take advantage. I’ve had all great experiences so far.

Things have just kept going your way because you landed a contract with Digital Playground. How’s that treating you?

Working with them has been great so far. It’s been a lot of fun. I’m just looking forward to a lot of the upcoming projects. That should be a lot of fun.

Yeah, you’ve got a movie coming out called “Contract Star,” right?

Yeah. We’ve already started shooting for it. I’ve got one scene to finish up.

AND you get to work with Jesse Jane. Every guy in the country is jealous of you right now!

I know! It’s great! All my guy friends are like, “Oh my god! Jesse Jane!”

And I can’t believe your girl friends wouldn’t want to hang out with you. You’re where the party is!

At first everyone was like, “Oh god, she’s a slut for doing that.” A lot of my girl friends didn’t want to be associated with that. People don’t see how much work actually goes into it.

Do you consider yourself a porn star now?

No, but that’s just how I am. I try to keep myself very grounded. I try not to let everything go to my head.

You’ve got to admit that it had to feel good to know that all the big adult companies were fighting over you!

I was more grateful than anything. I was very appreciative.

That’s a very cool way to look at it. A lot of people wouldn’t see it that way.

How many girls can have that? Girls in this business come and go so quickly.

Ultimately it was up to you to make the decision to sign with Digital Playground. What influenced your decision?

I’ve always kept an eye on Digital and what they do with their girls. I knew they have a great PR. I had an agent for a while but he was mainly just booking me non-stop with no time for promotional stuff. I needed a way to get my name out there. I saw how they (Digital Playground) always promoted the girls. I would watch their movies and think how I’d like to do that. I think it’s going to be a lot of fun.

You briefly touched on this earlier…You’ve done some pretty hardcore scenes in the past. What will you be bringing to the table – as far as scenes go – since signing with Digital Playground?

I think it’s gonna stay the same. My fans like me for me. I will be doing some less-hardcore stuff, too. I think I’ll like that change of pace.

To quote you from last week, “My ass needs a break!”

Yeah, my ass did need a break!

I’ve got to ask you some music questions, too. I just gotta know this stuff. What was your first concert?

I’d have to say it was a Hatebreed concert.

So you’re into the hardcore music, too!

I had you pegged for Britney Spears!

Nuh-uh! No way! That doesn’t interest me that much.

I hear ya there. Nice to look at but I don’t wanna hear her! She should just jiggle some more and keep her mouth shut, right!

Yeah. I’d rather hear a band play. If I wanted to see her I’d rather see it on TV and watch her lip-synch, ya know?

What was the last CD you bought – or burned. Every time I ask somebody this question they always say, “I don’t buy CDs anymore. I just burn ‘em.”

I used to burn so many CDs! The last CD I bought was the Punisher soundtrack. I love that CD. I love almost every song on it.

That’s got a hot song with Amy Lee from Evanescence.

Ahhh…I love that song, “Broken.” I play it over and over again.

Here’s a question that all us guys like to know the answer to: Are you living up the single life or do you have a significant other?

Nah, I’m single.

It’s more fun that way, right?

Yeah. I’m more of a person…I always usually have a boyfriend but right now things are just way too hectic to have that.

Have you had a boyfriend since you’ve been in adult? How did that work out or was he in the biz, too?

He was in the biz also. He worked and I worked, so…it played out.

It balances out right?

Yeah, it does!

It’s like if a guy cheats on his girlfriend with two different girls. They cancel each other out! What can we expect from you in 2004?

Hopefully putting out good movies and good products and do the best I can. I’m definitely surrounded by good people.

You’ll get to be part of a lot of cool things. You’ll get to go to the AVNs next year…

I went this past year but I’d only done one movie. I’d actually filmed it only two days before.

Is there anything out there that you’d like to do that you haven’t had a chance to do yet?

I haven’t done a lot of print work. I’m excited because I want to get my website up and running. I’ll be happy just to see what it looks like when we’re all done.

That’s the fun stuff there…

Yeah! Playing dress up and taking pictures!

What would you like to say to your fans – and there are a lot of them!

I know a lot of people were worried that I was gonna change. They were all upset that I signed a contract. Digital signed me for the person that I am. It’s not like anything is gonna change. I know now that by signing with Digital that I’ll reach more fans that I wouldn’t have had the chance to reach before. I’m still the same person.

You’re very down to earth. A lot of people in the entertainment industry could learn a thing or two from you!

You never know how long things will last or how long things will happen so you might as well be appreciative while you have it.

You should write greeting cards for a living!

(laughs) Maybe I’ll take that up as a second job!
