How do you like to say “hello”?
Please tell us about your character in American Pie presents Band Camp.
I play Dani in American Pie: Band Camp. She is Sheree’s sidekick. They are best friends working as camp counselors for the summer
Is any part of your character in this movie similar to the “real” Rachel Veltri?
I didn’t really get to show off my acting abilities too much in this movie because most of my storyline got cut. Initially I had a summer fling with Jimmy Chong, the asian kid just like Sheree had a summer fling with Oscar, but there were too many story lines going on in the movie so my story line got cut. I had to rap and pretend to be really into rap. So that was a stretch for me, but I’m an actress, so I pretend for a living.
I hear there are some hot chicks in this movie! Care to elaborate for us?
As for “hot chicks” in the movie. We have…Angela Little (Playmate in ’98), Jennifer Walcott (Playmate ’01) and me who currently has an 8 page layout in the December issue of Playboy. So I guess if Playboy girls are your thing…we got you covered!
When people mention Band Camp to you, what’s the first thing that pops into your mind?
The saying “This one time at Band Camp…..I stuck a flute in my pussy!” That’s line will be forever imbedded in my mind. Classic line!
What did you and the rest of the girls do when you didn’t have to be on set?
When we didn’t have to be on set, we would just hang in our trailers. I took a lot of naps. I think I was known for sleeping the most.
You’ve got a nice pictorial in the December 2005 Playboy. How did that come about?
Playboy offered me the opportunity to do a layout for them because I had been the star of the reality show “For Love or Money” and then when I booked American Pie: Band Camp, I thought it was the perfect time to pose for Playboy to promote the movie.
Were you 100% up for being in Playboy or did you have any hesitations? Why?
Honestly, at first I was hesitant. My family is very conservative and I didn’t want to embarrass them, yet ultimately I did what I wanted to do by posing and i am very happy with the results. And my family is very proud of me.
Aren’t you on the cover of a ton of romance novels? How did you land that gig?
When I was about 18, I was living right outside of New York City and I met this guy that introduced me to the three studios in New York that shoot romance novel covers. I got very lucky and kind of fell into it. These studios liked me so much that they just kept using me over and over again. I ended up being on over 60 covers!
You gained a lot of America’s attention by being featured on NBC’s For Love Or Money. What’s the biggest lesson you learned from that entire experience?
The biggest lesson I learned for “For Love or Money” is don’t ever do a reality show! Everything is edited to create an interesting story and each person’s best interest is not the producer’s concern. I had no idea this was the case til the show aired.
All us guys like to know – are you single? What kind of guy are you most attracted to?
I love fun, funny, sporty, sweet, cute, and smart guys.
What part of your personality gets you into trouble the most? Why?
The part of my personality that gets me in trouble the most in my straightforward way of saying things. I’ve noticed that sometimes men are intimidated by a woman that speaks her mind and it can be misinterpreted as abrasive rather than straightforward.
Are you ticklish?
I am ticklish…on my sides between my waist and my ribcage.
What are some of your favorite movies?
I love Wedding Crashers and 40 Year Old Virgin. They are hilarious. I also loved Cinderella Man, Love and Basketball, The Notebook, and Forrest Gump. I am a romantic at heart…what can I say?
What is the last CD you listened to?
Mariah Carey’s “The Emancipation of Mimi”.
Who are some of your favorite bands?
Nickelback and Train
Who was the last band you saw live?
I went to the Gavin Degraw concert with my roommate. We are huge fans. He asked me for my number this summer at his concert and then never called. Oh well, after watching the Johnny Cash movie, I seriously doubt I’d ever want to get involved with a rock star.
What is something you wish you’d get asked in interviews like this, but never do?
What is the best thing about your life?
What’s your answer to that question?
My answer would be…having God in my life and my family and friends.
Finish the following sentence however you want:
This one time, at band camp…
I had a really great time shooting a movie and met a lot of friends that I still have today.
How do you like to say “goodbye”?
Enjoy the movie and get ready to laugh your butts off!
