How do you like to say “hello”?
What’s in your pockets right now?
My cell phone and lip gloss, as always.
What do you like to do on a first date?
I’m gonna have to go with just going out with a bunch of friends… that’s the most fun and it eases the tension!
What’s the first thing you look at when you meet a guy?
Definitely tall, tattooed and they have got to make me laugh!!
Tell me about some of the companies you have modeled for.
All of the companies I have worked with so far have been incredible. I started with the amazing photographer Shannon Brooke and West Coast Choppers After that it flourished into alot of great relationships with many clothing lines and wonderful photographers.
I’ve read that this year has been really productive for you as far as modeling goes. What’s been going on?
Any and everything you can possibly imagine. I am in the process of moving to Hollywood in order to avoid all the travel time. After I did my first few shoots, everything just kind of took off and I am on my first break for a few weeks back home since the beginning of the year!
When did you first decide you wanted to be a pin-up model?
Last year is when I decided that I really wanted to pursue it and make it my career.
Do you remember seeing photos of pin-up models that you always thought were so cool and somehow compare them to what you’re doing now?
I can’t really compare any of the pin-up models I had always admired to myself, being that they are all so unique and beautiful in their own rights. I do admire the pin-up models who create their own “image” and namesake and do it honestly, working hard for everything they accomplish.
Who/what do you use as inspiration in your modeling?
My inspiration is my drive to make every photograph perfect and to take every shoot I do to the next level. In this business there is room for creativity and distinction, but sometimes there is an abundance of repetition. I am trying to avoid that and every photographer I have worked with, fortunately, believes in the same philosophy.
What are some things you want to accomplish with your career?
There are many photographers, designers, and magazines that I still want to work with. As long as I always feel comfortable with my decisions and the final artwork is creative and original, I will consider it an accomplishment.
Have you ever dated someone you met online?
Sure have…turned out to be a nightmare!
Describe your worst date ever.
The one that I had to pay on…come on guys, get a clue
When did you get your first tattoo and what inspired you to get it done?
My very first tattoo was when I was 18 and it is on my back. Its a custom design with a blue diamond in the middle. My dad took me to get it, and he is what inspired me to get it. I used it as a bonding experience.
Describe your tattoos and what they mean to you.
All of my tattoos have a very special meaning to me.. My arms are the most important to me. My tattoo artist (Aaron Neiman – Pussykats Tattoo Parlor) created all the original work from the ideas I gave him. The most senitmental are the traditional 13 with a crown on my forearm, its is in reference to my younger brother and then the traditional piece on my left forearm is in rememberance of my grandmother and my amazing grandfather who still lives back home in Oklahoma.

Death From Above 1979, Marilyn Manson, The White Stripes

What’s the best part about being Jasper James?
The experience. Every single photographer, make-up artist, and hair stylist I have worked with so far have been amazing and I now have great personal relationships with. I have also became friends with many pin-up models. Everyone loves to get paid to do something they love with their friends and people they care about. I am lucky enough to be one of those people.
How would you sum up your philosophy on life?
Do what you want. There are always going to be people who try and bring you down and it is out of pure jealousy. Professionals will be happy for you regardless of what you do. I believe as long as I stay true to myself, my friends and the people I care about the most…my life is complete.
