Kirsten, it’s very cool to talk with you! How is life treating you today?

It’s good! It’s really good.

I’m going to be honest, OK? I don’t know a whole lot about you so tell me some stuff about yourself.

I’m originally from Massachusetts. I got in adult through Jesse Jane. We met doing Hawaiian Tropic. I came out to visit her in LA and I just ended up staying! I never went home! It was a weeks vacation and I’ve been here for a year! I met my husband and we lived happily ever after!

Was it love at first site for you and Barrett Blade, your husband?

No! We actually hated each other first. (laughs) It took us a while.

What happened that made you both hate each other?

I was with someone at the time that had a lot of money. He called me a money whore and thought I was just in it for the money. Turns out I wasn’t. He’s one of those kinda guys, ya know? He was just kinda talking shit! He got over it.

Maybe he was being overprotective of you then because he knew there was feelings there.

Maybe. (laughs) Who knows?

What’s your timeline since being in LA?

I’ve been in LA for a year. I’ve been in the adult industry since last November. I shot my first scene on my birthday!

Cue the bad joke: I guess you blew more than candles on your birthday!

(laughs) Now that’s funny! I’ll have to write that one down!

When were you and Barrett married?

October 9.

Is it difficult to stay happily married with both of you working in adult?

It works out pretty well. I’m not a jealous person. I knew what he did when I met him. I never wanted to change him. Like it or not, you’re not going to change a person. That will just mess up the relationship. I know that he loves me and what he does is work. It’s just a job.

Did it turn into ‘If you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em’?

(laughs) I just wanted to do it. He wasn’t really big on the idea. It was all me. He was more concerned with the fact that he didn’t want people thinking he got me into doing it. It wasn’t. It was all my decision.

In a lot of relationships, unfortunately, you see a guy controlling the girl. It’s cool that Barrett was concerned about that.

That’s exactly what we didn’t want. That’s why we waited until we got married before I did anything. We didn’t want it to look like he was forcing me to do this, because he wasn’t. It’s all me. I really wanted to do it.

Can you both work with anyone?

I don’t work with other guys. I only work with him. He works with other girls. I could work with other guys, I just don’t want to.

You used to go by JJ Holly. Why did you change your name?

Somebody stole it and put up a website. I didn’t do any hardcore under that name. It was just softcore. I did Cinemax type things and softcore layouts.

Do you have a website yet?

I don’t have anything up yet, but I registered the domain. It’s KirstenPriceXXX.com.

Has it been fun and exciting so far to be in adult?

Yeah, so far it’s been great. I love it. To me it’s an exciting industry. It’s not a boring 9-5 job.

There really is a lot of glamour and celebrity to it sometimes.

Yeah, did you see my girl Jesse Jane at the Golden Globes? (laughs) She doing quite well for herself. I’d like to follow in her footsteps, I suppose.

So you constantly want to keep moving up, getting your name out there?

Most definitely!

Do you have specific goals or are you ready to conquer everything?

I just want to conquer everything and make some money along the way. Have fun and do everything I can and hope for the best. There’s a lot of competition out there. We’ll see what happens. There are all these girls who are yonger than me and they’ll do anything. I’ll just do girls and my husband. We’ll see.

Is it easy to make and keep friends with other people in the industry?

To a certain extent. I’ve been friends with Jesse. We actually have one other couple we hang out with all the time. She’s one of my best friends. He was my husband’s best man in our wedding. They’re pretty much like our clique. Most girls are flakey and are constantly in competition mode. I hang out with Jenna Haze a lot. Everyone else is just an acquaintance.

Has anybody tripped you out because of their weird personality or just because they’re trashed all the time?

Oh my gosh, there are so many people that are trashed all the time! At the AVN convention this year there were so many girls who didn’t even sleep. I think two or three girls OD’d. There are so many girls like that. I went by my girlfriend’s house the other day and this girl was there and was completely trashed and it was barely noon! I’d just woken up and she’d already been drinking all day! It’s bad. I’m trying not to be one of those girls. I want to prolong my career. Doing that make you start to look really old really quick. It’s really bad for your skin! This is a career that’s based on your looks so why ruin it?

A lot of girls also feature dance. Is that something you want to do?

Absolutely. I think that sounds like so much fun. I love to travel. Dressing up is so much fun. Going out, dressing up, dancing and making money sounds like the perfect career choice. You have to wait until you get your name out there a little more.

Are you a dancer now or would you have to learn?

I used to be a go-go dancer when I lived in New York. I’ve danced my whole life. I’d be very comfortable on stage so I think I’d get the hang of it pretty quick. I need to learn some pole dancing maneuvers, though. I’d love to learn how to pole dance! They need to teach a class on pole dancing.

I’m just curious. What did you do before you moved to LA?

I was a cocktail waitress at Scores. I was a go-go dancer at pretty much every club in New York City. Growing up I was a tapdancer, cheerleader, I danced ballet and jazz. I pretty much danced throughout my life. Career-wise before I even moved to New York, I had a hairdressing license. I did that for a little while and realized it wasn’t really me. I wanted to move to New York and try some modeling. I was really big into Hawaiian Tropic for a while and shot for Playboy Special Editions. I did a few things in New York and came out to visit Jesse Jane in LA and she asked me to stay. I ended up going back home. The next time I came out she asked me to stay and I said, “OK! You got me!” The rest is history! Here I am!

What are your plans like for 2005?

I don’t even know! We’re trying to buy a house. I’m trying to work as much as I can and save some money. I want to do as much as I can that’s the best quality possible. I don’t want to have any crap out there. I wanna do a lot of layouts. I really like doing that. I just want to have fun and enjoy life and make as much money as I can.

Jesse Jane sent me a photo of you a while back and I put it up along with a link that said “If you wanna see more Kirsten Price, email me and let me know!” I had a ton of emails asking to see more of you on the site so I think it’s really cool that our readers were so vocal about getting you featured. What would you like to say to them?

That’s very cool. Thank you for inquiring about me! I will do my best to please you! I’ll try and get some movies out there quick. You’ll be seeing a lot more of me. There’s a lot more where this came from!
